This video of the Barge shows the significant damage that resulted from Hurricane Irma in 2017. The elements that are circled in red were damaged or swept into Biscayne Bay by the powerful storm surge and wind.

The 3D documentation project helps staff design for resiliency. Fragments from the Barge were salvaged in 2018 and, after restoration, will return to their original locations.
